Eugénie is an emerging writer/director with a string of award-winning shorts under her belt. Her stories, from naturalistic dramas to sci-fi dystopias, like to explore the invisible strings that tie us together and the irremovable marks we leave on each other. She has a strong focus on creating complex and diverse female characters. Eugénie was nominated for an Australian Directors Guild Award in 2016 for her short film Twenty Forty Three. She was awarded Best Director at the Made in Melbourne film festival the same year for her short drama Small Hands. Her latest dystopian short Blue Games recently had its World Premiere at Flickerfest 2018, to a brilliant reception.
